Bob Bratt is DLA Piper’s chief operating officer. With more than 30 years of experience managing multimillion-dollar commercial and federal legal programs, he oversees all U.S. operations for the firm and plays a key role in the integration of its international operations, ensuring uniform delivery of services globally.

Valerie Brennan, Munger Tolles & Olson LLP
Valerie Brennan leads business development and marketing at Munger Tolles & Olson. Brennan is responsible for the firm’s client growth strategy, and has oversight of business development, branding and communications. Brennan has more than 20 years of strategy and operations experience, and previously served as a litigator and in-house counsel.

Ezra Crawford, Crowell & Moring LLP
Ezra Crawford is a senior director at Crowell & Moring LLP and co-leads its 25-person business development team. He works closely with the marketing, communications, pricing and other departments to drive firm strategy. Crawford is co-chair of the legal marketing association’s professional advocacy group and previously served on its board.

Russell Kornblith, Sanford Heisler Sharp LLP
Russell Kornblith is the New York managing partner of Sanford Heisler Sharp LLP, a national public interest law firm focused on representing employees and whistleblowers. Kornblith has brought groundbreaking cases challenging discrimination in law firms and in-house legal departments.

Jim Lehman, Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP
Jim Lehman is managing partner of Nelson Mullins, an AmLaw 100 firm with 25 offices across the country. He has served as a general counsel of a public company and as outside general counsel for various private equity portfolio companies. He currently serves as chairman of the Claflin University Board of Trustees.

Susan E. Manch, Winston & Strawn LLP
Susan Manch is a talent strategy expert with experience in all aspects of law firm human resources, professional development, legal recruiting and partner/group acquisition, leadership development and succession planning, diversity, and compensation and benefits. She works collaboratively with firm leaders to find innovative and cost-effective ways to align business and talent strategy.

Ed Newberry, Squire Patton Boggs LLP
Ed Newberry is global managing partner for public policy at Squire Patton Boggs. Described in Legal 500 as “one of the most talented lawyers in Washington,” he was managing partner of Patton Boggs and led that firm’s merger with Squire Sanders to create Squire Patton Boggs LLP.

Colleen Nihill, Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP 
Colleen Nihill, the firm’s chief knowledge management and practice services officer, leads a multidisciplinary team of business professionals who support the firm’s 15 diverse practice groups and internal business functions to optimize the way work is accomplished through matter planning, process design and document automation technologies. She earned two consecutive commendations for pricing and project management from Financial Times.
